I walked into an Electronics Boutique (remember those?) back in 2004 with the money for a new PC game burning a hole in my pocket and any number of classics to choose from (the latest Sid Meier's Pirates!, Half Life 2, World of Warcraft etc.), but I came out with this (thankfully I got the other games that Christmas). But this game is the gold standard (for me). Yeah, Master of Orion and Starcraft and Homeworld and XCOM are all fantastic. Anyway, this is my number one, all time favorite strategy game. How in the WORLD is this not higher on the Wishlist? I can only assume that everyone still already owns this masterpiece and has it installed and working to this very day (like I do)? Perhaps not.
